Hollyburn Properties

In the Community

At Hollyburn we believe strong community and family values are essential to creating vibrant, fulfilling lives. Through a series of outreach programs and sponsorships, we follow our mandate of becoming an active, contributing partner in every neighbourhood we are privileged to be part of.

Covenant House:

Covenent House

We recognize it's tough for street youth to get a head start in today's challenging and competitive world, sometimes they need a helping hand. For some of Vancouver's Covenant House alumni, we've developed a unique new initiative to help local youth gain a sense of self-worth, self-confidence, and dignity. We provide them with a completely furnished suite at a substantially reduced cost, allowing them to focus on finding gainful employment and improving their education.

When the resident is ready to move forward to the next chapter of their lives, we'll work with them to find a new permanent home. They will be able to keep the furniture we provided while they were living in a Hollyburn building. In addition, we will give them back the full amount they paid in rent during their residence at our building.

North Vancouver Public Library:

North Vancouver LibraryHollyburn has a longstanding tradition of working with residents and our communities. In North Vancouver, we donated land for a state-of-the-art, 35,000 square foot library and contributed $50,000 towards new books for the library's collection.

Boy Scouts of Canada:

Boy ScoutsWe provide storage space at no cost in Hollyburn Plaza so that local troops can store equipment and gear.

Community Participation:

A Hollyburn property is much more than a building structure - it is a community. Throughout the year, we hold a variety of special events for our residents including summer barbeques, Christmas parties and value-added partner events.

We're also enthusiastic supporters of community events such as Davie Day, a family tradition in Downtown Vancouver, and the Festival of Lights, an annual celebration of Christmas filled with warmth and the spirit of the season.
